HAZELNUT GROVES AND WOODS
It's really important to us to maintain biodiversity: we do this by planting our vineyards, hazelnut groves and trees in the best positions
so as to safeguard the environment.
Our hazelnuts are the I.G.P. Tonda Gentile Trilobata variety.
Among the special characteristics of this variety are the following:
The characteristic round shape of the nut which allows for quick mechanical shelling; the thin shell which increases the yield of shelled nuts; the fine aroma and delicate taste of the nuts; the relatively low fat content.
The wooded areas of the estate are an essential component of the environment and fulfil many roles: a source of wood, soil and water conservation, maintaining biodiversity, a carbon dioxide reservoir, a place for relaxation and an essential element of the landscape.
